I think this company are nothing what they appear to be. I will never do a tour with them. I would never trust them for the safety of my family.

I am out of pocket over $1,000 for a deposit on a rental that was booked pre-Covid. The owner Dudley Hookong, has died and I’ve been told that my money is tied up in the estate. TripAdvisor is referenced all over BackCountry’s web site. I don’t know why. I have been trying for months to get my money back and keep hitting a wall.

We did our 4 hours session snowmobile last year in Feb 2020. It was our first time doing snowmobile. There was a tons of uncertainty but the guide (which I forgot his name, sorry!) did enough practice with us, making sure we were comfortable before heading out to the road. He was guiding for another small group and we were tagging along. He is knowledgeable and safety oriented. He let us know what we should pay attention to and what the machine was capable of doing. We spent our 2-3 hours touring around on our own. We did a big loop in the 200km trails available in the area. We also tried doing max speed on the lake on our way back! It was a fun time with my girlfriend during family day. Obviously COVID hits them hard. Kim et al operate a nice business and I hope things will turn back to normal for them. I would recommend doing a 4 hour session with perhaps a guide at the beginning to get the most from it. 2 hours is not enough if this is your first time. You also want someone with experience to guide you to make sure you aren't freaked out.

My husband and I planned a trip for our honeymoon in Ontario, and stopped on our way up north to go on a 4 hour extreme mud guided ATV tour. It was above and beyond our expectations !!! You really do get an adrenaline rush and was totally enjoyable for the full 4 hours. Time flew by and we 100% will be back, and hope to get Mark again to take us out in the summer!
