About
The MRT Beimen Station is on the Songshan Line, and exits onto Tacheng Street. Located four stories below ground; it is 171 meters long, 32 meters wide, 32 meters deep (during excavation), with 3 exits, 2 ventilation shafts and 2 barrier-free elevators. The broad concept of public art is incorporated into the design of the MRT Songshan Line. It is a public display of a melange of styles created through architecture and landscape designs; the artistic concepts representing the local culture and features are rooted in the colors, themes and sub-themes, "Beimen Station" design concept - Blessings and Hope, to capture the local spirit while tracing the paths of history.

Beimen Station ("North Gate") is an important station on the MRT Green Line (Sungshan-Xindian). It exits onto Tacheng St. The station is decorated in a melange of folk art motifs in a variety of colours. It also has archaeological relics from the Ching Dynasty (1644-1911) and Japanese colonial era (1895-1945) when the area was an arsenal.

Beian Station (North Gate ) has many interesting features. It's an MRT stop for the Taipei Lantern Festival. It has an archaeological exhibit from the Qing Dynasty and the Japanese colonial period ( 1895-1945), when this area was an arsenal. Beian is also has an in-town baggage check-in service for the Taoyuan Airport MRT line. Staff are available to assist. It's a big station, if you follow the signs you won't get lost.

an easier option to navigate to the Taoyuan MRT if you are staying near Ximen or the Songshan Line as it is not as far of a walk than Taipei Main Station, less chaotic and definitely more charming with its historic read of the station during the time of building it. if you are on a day pass, do stopover and enjoy the history.

Going south of the country by high speed rail. The train station is full of people but well equipped with many eateries and restaurants for passengers. This has to be one of my favourites train station.

This station is at the beginning of the City Mall complex, extending through to the Taiyoan Airport MRT Station and Taipei Main Station. It has lifts as well as stairs for people handling luggage, and some interesting glass covered displays of the area before excavation began.

As all in this country, this station was big and very crowded besides it is very confusing if you do not speak the language. People barely speak English and it is difficult to get directions since everyone seems to be in a hurry and they are not really willing to help, fortunately we found some nice Taiwanese people along the way who really helped us to get thru the odyssey.

As NYC subway is in the process of being renovated, they should use this as their model.
The place is so clean and the trains so prompt and efficient! The staff are very courteous and professional. There is even a charging station. They even have bathrooms in the stations that are clean!
