The place was closed for a long long time until recently it was open for public. There was a Japanese Martial Art training building and a small museum all built of the wood from Taiwan. On the weekend, you can see cosplays or a small exhibition in the art building.

The building is old Japanese-style. I went there early in the morning and before it opened. It may worth dropping by and having a look inside next time I visit Taichung. It should be quite interesting.
該建築是古老的日式風格。 我一大早就去了那裡,沒有開門。 下次我訪問台中時,可能值得順便拜訪,應該很有趣。

Feeling a need for a zen respite in the city? It is nice to walk around the grounds and enjoy the peace. Come at night to see the lanterns.

There was an expo of a dude that made figures out of stones which was kind of cool. Figures do look nice.

This place was quite secluded. We recommend you taking a break and having some tea at the tea house when you are there. The tea was good. We had a relaxing and enjoyable moment there.

It was closed while I visit. I don't get to go inside the building. But the garden itself is beautiful. The trees is stunning with the lantern.

we are here for a visit to the japanese old buildings. The environment is too nice you could imagine to have tea session in the tea house overlooking the giant tree in the center of the courtyard.

The building and grounds are lovely. A friend of mine takes kendo classes in one of the buildings. Be aware that, should you go, there are usually other people walking around and taking selfies with the historic pieces.

Daohe Six Arts Cultural Center is
The only surviving Japanese-style martial arts gymnasium-style building from the Japanese colonial period in Taichung City
free attractions
The buildings, big banyan trees and pavilion pools are all designed to be clean and comfortable.
Now it was taken over by the Ministry of Culture and has been changed to [National Comic Museum Preparatory Office]
In the park
There are cartoon character signboards and simple Japanese-style buildings everywhere.
The atmosphere is relaxed and relaxing, suitable for taking photos
There is now a comic exhibition that you can visit, but it is not large in scale.
"Wu Tian" ice cream shop in the park
After visiting the park on a hot day, it’s a good place to come here to enjoy the air conditioning and eat ice cream.
