Fantastic hike - very beautiful and not really that challenging (though breathtaking in places where the route is narrow and you have to hold onto the rope!) We did the hike with Eye Travel Taiwan (our guide was Chester - highly recommended). One of our...More

I am not a hiking fan, but I like the challenge I took to climb this old foot pass. Only when you reach the top, you can feel it is worth.

Ivan Chen from Meet my Guide tours was our guide for the Zhuili Old Trail hike. Ivan pre-arranged our permit w/ the Park as the trail has a daily limit for the number of hikers allowed on the trail per day. The trailhead begins at...More

Me and two friends hiked this trail on a group tour with Wei from Meet My Guide and it was an incredible experience. The difficulty varies based on your physical shape as I, an overweight man, and one of my friends, a heavy smoker, both...More

The majority of the hike is through forest areas without many views, but it's the last stage that makes it completely worthwhile. The trail at the edge is very narrow and there are only a limited number of safety barriers along this section. You will...More

The hike was fantastic and, once at the top, the views are fantastic. People looking to do this hike should be mindful that the first hour or so is the most difficult part given how steep the climb is. I would also not recommend it...More

Amazing hike with gorgeous views of the gorges from high up. Our tour guide, William Ho via Round Taiwan Round was one of the best tour guides I've ever had. He is very knowledgeable of the area and very accommodating. Highly recommend

The beginning is not that special, just hiking up the hill often through the woods. But the section with the cliff at the end of the first section (second section is/was closed) is the main attraction. Just wow! It's stunning to look down (ca. 550m)...More

First, the trail is not fully opened. It is only the first section that is available for hikers. It is still a good hike, lots stairs and lots uphills until you see the cliff section. Second, the permit process is easy and simple. You can...More
