This was an amazing experience. Walking with and feeding the elephants was incredible. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about these beautiful animals. The handlers encouraged us to interact with the elephants and there were numerous photo opportunities. An unforgettable experience, highly recommended.

At only 1 hour, this is a bit pricey compared to most attractions in the area, however you do get a chance to get up close to the elephants, and it supports a very worthy cause.

Was a nice visit. On the good side it gave us areal feel in the literal sense of the word to touch and see the elephants. Even here theyre still wild, as was shown by their panicky gallop when one of the elephamtd trumpeted for an unkwonw danger. Also a little circus like Because of the speed with which ee... More

I was scared at first to walk with this big as life animal behind me holding my hand but when that first wet blow of "snot" cover your hand, you're in love. The stories are real, giant animal with a giant heart.

I enjoyed seeing elephants in game reserves better. This was a little to much like a "show" for me, elephants doing little tricks, guides moving you to the correct places so the camera can see you (they sell a video at the end). Everyone was nice, guides were knowledgeable and you get to be very close to the elephants. Overall,... More

We turned up at 10.15am and were told the next tour would be at 11am. It was a really hot day so we decided to avoid the heat and return the next day. We returned at 8am the next day and my wife, 2 year old daughter and I experienced walking with elephants and feeding them. It was a wonderful... More

There are 5 elephants in the sanctuary. You will be able to walk and hear a bit about the animals. I feel like it could be explored with more in depth, but the exerience of being up-close with the animals makes your day.

We have always wanted to get up close to Elephants and this was great. You get to walk with ( hand in trunk), feed, and 'cuddle ' them and take great pics whilst doing it. The guides were great and we had a small group of about 20 people so had lots of individual time with these majestic creatures.

I had high hopes this trip to the Elephant Sanctuary after many visits to Knysna Elephant Park we wanted to do something different and someone recommended this excursion. But I was so disappointed having five minute of walking hand in trunk is not what I paid for and then discovering I had paid R125 to share brushing with other people... More

We had booked this while still in England. Thinking we would be brushing the elephants down and helping to put them to bed. No putting to bed, a couple of strokes brushing them down and the walking experience was a very short distance. Getting the elephants to do their party trick some 7/8 times a day. All very disorganised. It... More
