Curracloe Beach is a regular holder of the Blue Flag Beach status. The dunes are currently the subject of an active conservation policy by Wexford County Council ensuring that this marvellous amenity and the plant and wildlife it contains, will be preserved for future generations. A nature trail runs through the dunes and continues for 5 km to Raven Point, passing through the beautiful peninsula which constitutes Raven Nature Reserve.

What a Beautiful beach. Clean white sand, clean clear water, pretty calm waves. Great for a walk or run as the beach goes on for miles. Great views of the beach from the top of the sand dunes. Never crowded even on sunny days. One of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland. Well worth a visit and it's always sunnier... More

This was my first visit to Curracloe Beach in years, this time with my wife and young son. The beach is long and sandy with clean water. My main gripe is the amount of dog poo on the path to the beach and around the dunes. It can't be that difficult to clean up after your pet? A little consideration... More

I did read about the place in one of the books. That it is a long sandy beach - sounded perfect for a family with young kids - so off we go. There were couples sitting and having a romantic dates, kids surfing (yes surfing) down sand dunnes and us with kids rolling down the sandy dunnes and us adults... More

We stopped here on a drive through the area and what a find it was! It is simply stunning, a real beauty spot! Unfortunately one of our group is disabled and was unable to access the beach as it is quite a steep entrance so whilst I enjoyed the beach with the dogs the rest of the family enjoyed ice... More

This has to be one of the finest beaches Ireland has to offer. The beach itself is very clean and well looked after. Filming also took place on Curacloe Beach in the movie Saving Private Ryan a few years back. Another must see when visiting Wexford.

Probably the longest, nicest and sandies beach in Ireland.Good for winter walks and summer swimming. If you go there during the summer just try to get there as early as possible because it can be very busy during hot days.

Lovely walks on this beach fantastic scenery, the local council should try come up with a solution to tackle the massive problem of dog poo on the beach it's sad to see people are so ignorant and don't respect the beautiful beach just rather leave there dogs poo everywhere.other than that she's quite the spot

As a child I spent a few summers in Curracloe in my Grandfather's mobile home and I spent a lot of time on the Beach. I was always amazed that we had a quality beach in this country of this calibre. I was just on it yesterday with my five year old son and my partner for our second visit... More
