Fontanafredda was a quaint little town in Italy, near Aviano AFB. We went to visit my son and loved the area. It is quiet, but near lots of wonderful restaurants and areas to visit. The view of the mountains is gorgeous.

Wonderful place, vineyard under the snow blanket was breathtaking. I went there for wine tour and testing. Wine was delicious and the personnel adorable (passion, knowledge and engagement). Wonderful experience!

Fontanafredda is of great interest for those interested in the history of wine in Piemonte. It also boasts a restaurant, park, and a visitors centre/shop. Owned by Eataly founder Oscar Farinetti, who bought it from the ancient Bank of Siena.
