A welcoming reception and invitation to explore this colonial building. Spectacular and well kept interior. If you have the time, check it out, the building is stunning and the history very interesting.
The casual visitor sees a classic, but not very old building, some pretty stained glass windows and beautiful old stairs and floors. Most of it was rebuilt though, and not that long ago. Nice for a quick view, and there's an English-language brochure on request.

The Yokohama Port Opening Hall is considered the most beautiful building in Yokohama. It was completed in 1917 with a Neo-renaissance style architectural. In the great 1923 earthquake the exterior remained standing, but the interior suffered severe damage.
