We were at Mitsukoshi so dropped by the shrine which is located in the middle of Tenjin. But its premises are quiet, and along with Kego Park it forms a kind of oasis of calm in a bustling shopping and office district. A little homework...More

Sun dried grass with stone benches next to major shopping malls. If it was not located in the heart of the shopping district in Japan it could have been in any dodgy part of a mega western city. Avoid like the plague. My hotel room...More

I can't say I'm a fan of the park. I pass through it nearly every day and it's just concrete and more concrete. The park was completely redone a year or two back and much to my disappointment, there were fewer trees than before. The...More

Kego Park, located just beside Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) station, is like an oasis in the center of Fukuoka. It is not very big. But it is a nice place to take a rest during shopping or taking a walk in Tenjin area.

This area can get lively at night, with all the lights and activities being held in this area. Park is in the Tenjin area, and Kego shrine is just nearby.

Just a bare open space in the middle of a shopping district. Actually looks more like a plaza to me. Barely no trees and places to sit. Still nice to have an open space with all the large buildings around.

So.. It was small just like many reviewers described it. But it served its purpose:) nice area for locals and tourist to stop and rest. The tulips they had out smelled nice!

This is a a kind of large open area in the middle of Tenjin. There are some benches. If it's not too hot or raining, it's a nice place to sit and have a takeout lunch.

It's not the kind of park one expects with trees, shrubs and flowers. It's simply an open area, a place for people to relax in the Tenjin shopping district.
