Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are simply stunning, no matter what time of the year you visit. It is a true beauty spot. The views are magnificent and you find yourself walking miles just taking in the wonderful views and scenery around you.

My husband and I and our dog spent the weekend in West Lulworth and had a fabulous time walking the path from Lulworth to Durdle Door with the most beautiful views. The path is in good order but is steep - Lulworth Cove has a...More

Nature at its best. It is just about 24 miles (35-40 mins drive) from Bournemouth city centre. Beautiful, scenic, fun filled walk and surrounded by awesome little cottages. The walk was a bit risky due to heavy snowfall earlier in the day but worth it.

I am impressed you did the walk in the snow - it must have been beautiful! Thanks for taking the time to write a report; do come again - perhaps next time on a warm day.

Gorgeous beauty spot. Visited when extremely windy, getting down the steps was a bit precarious as no hand railings to hold onto. Was worth the trouble though as absolutely stunning. Views from the top are also lovely. If you are stiff in the limbs would...More

It can indeed be precarious, especially when windy. Good walking shoes and a reasonable level of fitness are definitely required for getting up and down to Durdle Door. We are glad you enjoyed your visit.

Decide to pay a bust to Durdle Door whilst staying in Bournemouth. It’s only 18 miles for Bournemouth at around a 40 minute drive. Well sign posted to the car park and plenty space. Just from the car park you have some stunning views of...More

We look forward to your return visit – but agree it is rather special to visit on a cold winter’s day when there are few people around.

I love this beautiful stretch of coast and have visited during all 4 seasons which always gives the place a totally different outlook. I originally set out to hike from East Lulworth cove(fossil forest) to Kimmeridge but the MOD made that route impassable as they...More

There is roadside parking possible if you are prepared to walk the extra distance. however I don't remember the carparks at either Durdle or the cove having barriers. (might be wrong).
