I’ve never seen a place this beautiful. The water is so clear, the beaches so clean and it’s so peaceful even at busy times. It has such a tranquility about it. Parking was pretty cheap and a spot was easy to find. The walk up...More

Easy to get to. Sat Nav BH20 5PU. Lots of car parking facilities. A fee to park is required. £4 for 2 hours. I paid £5 for 4 hours as the parking also covers parking in Lulworth Cove, where I went to next. Durdle Door...More

Just stroll around the golden sandy beach and feel the overall atmosphere. I didn't bathe in its clear waters because I was not prepared to do so but saw a few people who seemed to be enjoying it. It reminded me of the rocky beaches...More

Durdle door is beautiful. We visited on a day which was fine, the path down was very steep and stoney. The steps were steep, muddy and very dangerous as there was no handrail to steady yourself. I’m surprised there aren’t more slips, trips and stumbles!...More

This is the first time I’ve been here and it was absolutely fantastic. The views and geology were breathtaking. It’s a pity it was so windy though, but that was a minor issue and perhaps to be expected at this time of year. Well worth...More

Durdle Door is one of the most visited sites in Southern England and you can see why! The views along the coast and Durdle Door itself are spectacular. The hike back up the hill is not a walk in the park, but worth it to...More

Lulworth Cove is a superb natural cove, with a lovely beach and calm sea which shows the geology, Stair Hole (reached by a 5 minute walk) is to some extent even more spectacular and Durdle Door which can be walked to ( about 1 mile...More

Thank you for you report. The car parks at both Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are part of the Lulworth Estate; one car park ticket is indeed valid at both car parks.

Great part of Jurassic coast with good access for walkers. Plenty to see locally and very inspiring scenery. Nearby Lulworth Cove has aeveral good pubs/ restaurants but can get very busy in season. Worth a visit if you appreciate coastal and countryside beauty.

Wonderful walks, interesting places to visit in surrounding location. Views are exceptional. Good hotels and restaurants nearby. An ideal place to relax in. Down side is the expensive parking charges, but to be expected in such a tourist attraction.More

There is roadside parking possible if you are prepared to walk the extra distance. however I don't remember the carparks at either Durdle or the cove having barriers. (might be wrong).
