An exciting and unique experience for the whole family, young (min. age 8 years) and old. During the winter Naseby becomes the ice capital of New Zealand. In addition to luge enjoy ice skating and curling at adjacent facilities. Note - only open during the winter (generally June to August). Phoning ahead and/or booking on 03 444 9270 is highly recommended.

My boys, and their cousins, have been attending Ice Camp every winter for the past four years. They absolutely love it and especially enjoyed the ice-luge this year. The skating, luge and curling is taught by very experienced tutors and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. There aren't many small towns that have so much to offer kids during... More

Not the best title, but the only pun I can think off... Wasn't quite sure what to make of this at first. I was expecting something similar to queenstown but in reality it's a different ball game altogether! Very fun if a little difficult to get the hang of. But after a few go's, the turning gets easier and you... More

My children aged 7-10 have taken part in luging over the winter for the last two years. They absolutely love it. They received coaching from experts who quickly had them travelling safely from the top of the luge - at speed:) This is a fun family activity that can be modified to suit all levels of experience wanted. When visiting... More

The Naseby Ice Luge, would have to be one of the best holidays so close to home we have had in a long time. The kids enrolled for a day, and did Luge in the morning and ice skating in the afternoon. We called in at lunch time to see how they were getting on, and they had hit the... More

Been coming here for a few years now for the school holidays and the kids plus Mum and Dad simply have a ball, as well as the luge there is curling and the ice skating rink. The luge though is just brilliant, great coaching and facilities, can't speak highly enough of all the people involved.

We went to This hidden gem (Naseby) during the July school Holiday's to attend the Ice camp that Naseby Ice luge put on for school children. The kids loved it. It was a real winter wonderland. The kids had not seen snow before or been on an Ice luge. Having a world champion coaching them on the Luge was a... More

Not perhaps what you think of when you think of NZ, but not to be missed! We made a massive 5-hour detour to come to Naseby, and it was worth it in spades. Firstly, the service was amazing. The husband and wife team who run the track are perhaps the sweetest people we met, and that's saying a lot when... More

This would have to be the most fun I've had in the freezing cold, ever. Challenging to do, and hugely entertaining to watch, especially with a big group. Coach Adam was extremely patient with those of us lacking skill, style, physical co-ordination and a basic grasp of left vs right - thank you! I'd go back like a shot.

Curling was on my bucket list so the Naseby Luge was a must see. Great staff and helpful video set us all up for an hour of fun on the ice. An experience I will always remember and great value for money. If you are in the area is not to be missed,

I have hurt my back so didn't have a go myself, but I have to say that this looks like the best fun that anyone could have, hurtling down the frozen ice track. You should give it a go when you are here in winter!
