It's an intresting trail but I wouldn't condider it terribly challenging if you are in decent physical shape and are not scared of heights. You get some really nice views of the lake and sea.

We hiked Precipice, Beehive, and Acadia Mountain trails in Acadia (plus many of the smaller ones). Precipice was by far our favorite. It was challenging but sooo worth it. However, if you're afraid of heights, or not as strong hiker, we wouldn't recommend it. that...More

First off, a huge thanks to Chris and his family! They truly saved me! I didn't read the signs with all the warnings and that almost cost me. I went alone, in the drizzle, wearing slippery tennis shoes and with no water or food. My...More

This was an exciting climb of the face of Champlain mountain. Once you have climbed above the lower tree level there were excellent views which took great pictures. We hiked this trail early in the morning to avoid the crowds, and allow more picture taking...More

First thing you should know: this is not for beginners, anyone with a fear of heights, anyone with a hear condition, pregnant, etc. This trail offers unparalleled views of Frenchman's Bay and the eastern side of the island, and even Bar Harbor itself at the...More
