This is a great hike for families. It's a small climb to the top and offers spectacular views. Make the hike more interesting by making it a loop and walking along the Ocean Path.

I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the beautiful fall leaves on our hike. Blue tape on the rocks help you find your way and well placed/timely signs are available for determining where you are and where you might like to go next. Recommend starting at...More

Some reviews call this hike "easy" and I say this is inaccurate. It's easy in the sense that there are "stairs" throughout versus True rock-climbing, but still fairly challenging. Beautiful views!

My family enjoyed this hike immensely. My mother-in-law was with us, so this hike was challenging enough for my teenagers without being too difficult for her. We did take the Cadillac Cliffs portion on the way up, which was somewhat difficult for my MIL who...More

Started at Sand Beach along the coast to Otter Cliff. Return to the Gorham Mt trail to the summit and north descent to Sand Beach. Can‘t get enough from the colors. Good views for shooting pictures.

We went up following the split to the Cadillac Cliffs route, which was more strenuous (scrambling over rocks), and came back down by the easier Gorham Mountain trail. The view from the top was absolutely incredible.

After walking the Ocean Path trail and viewing Thunder Hole, it was on to the Gorham Mountain trail. All Trails rates this trail as a moderate and I agree. Where your hiking shoes as the trail is comprised of many surfaces including dirt paths, lots...More

I decided to do this trail since my daughter was doing The Beehive. We mapped it out so we could meet where these trails intersect. We went early to avoid crowds and I had the trail all to myself. It was such a beautiful experience....More

This was one of our last hikes in Acadia, but it should have been a first. The Gorham Mountain Trailhead is located just down from Sand Beach and Thunder Hole. It's a moderately-difficult hike, but nothing that a first-time hiker in decent shape can do....More

We loved this hike! We actually did the full mountain, coming from the Bowl trail (initially from Beehive) and then up to the summit and back down to the parking lot. We loved the views here! The first half of the mountain (from the Bowl...More

Gorham Mt has it's own parking lot. You can get to it from the park loop road - past Sand Beach. Look for it on the right. Enjoy!!
