Beautiful easy hiking
Apr. 2020
This is not a strenuous trail, but plenty of people make it dangerous by going out onto the rocks. This is a worthwhile family hike with bathroom stops and plenty of sights along the way.

Scenic Drive
Dec. 2019
Incredibly scenic drive through one of America's national treasures. Although Acadia doesn't match some of the spectacular Western parks (Yellowstone, Zion, Arches..) it is no less grand in its beauty. The loop road has some spectacular seascapes with cliffs, crashing surf, ocean vistas and towering forests. The loop has plenty of pull off locations with parking providing ample opportunity for terrific photo opportunities. Strongly suggest going in the off season as this road can be a log jam in the summers and early Fall with the colorful foliage.

A Great Ride
Oct. 2020
This is a great way to get an initial tour of Acadia. You can visit things along the way. Many great stops, hikes, views, walks, etc. await as you drive this loop. This is a great ride.

We walked for part of the loop. The coastal views were beautiful. Lots of photo opportunities. The drive is scenic.

Things to check before gong
Oct. 2020
We haven’t been to Acadia for a few years, decided to revisit, but we’re not aware that in order to go Sand Beach or Cadillac Mountain you need to make a reservation for your vehicle. Of course this requirement is in effect till 10/18/2020. If you have an internet connection I would assume it would be an easy task, but you need an account needless to say, we did not get a reservation, so we took the Loop Road and enjoyed our trip thru the park. The cars that were lined up to travel up to Cadillac Mountain were backed up on the roads were the Park Rangers were checking the tickets. Hope everyone got up there before dark. Maybe next year things will go more smoothly. Also just for some information if you are disabled there is no way for you to go to the Ranger Station at Hull Cove to get a pass or help. The stairs are a killer.

HIKERS AND BIKERS
Sep. 2020
My wife and I visited Acadia for the first time in years and were pleased to see the park is still in great shape. It was a kind of a reflection of these times as the road was filled with bikers as well as filled parking areas and multiple hikers. I imagine this appreciation of the outdoors is being repeated all over the country.

Taking in the sites as summer comes to a close
Aug. 2020 • Family
So many sites on this 27 mile journey. So many places to stop for photo ops. We went last weekend with our 15 year old daughter as a quick vacation before the start of school. After taking in the beautiful sites, I realised one day is not enough. There is hiking, boating, and swimming and places for picnics along the drive. You get a magnificent view from every window of your car. If it's this glorious in the summer, I can only imagine it's beauty when the leaves change.

Just a way to get around
Aug. 2020 • Family
Get out of your car and hike some of the 125 miles of trails or the 45 miles of carriage roads. The Park Loop is a great way to get around the park, but you are missing the essence of Acadia if you don’t hike the park
