Take your time and enjoy the beauty of the 27 mile loop. Plenty of highlights, along with many 'off the beaten path' trails. This is a great way to get to know the park.

You can see a lot from this road, and it takes you to a few attractions and sites. It can be mighty dark at night if you want to see the night sky.

Drove the loop after hiking. Walked the coastal loop then drove. Mice park, needed more days there, to see it all and hike few more trails.

The park loop road is a beautiful, leisurely drive. Most of the road is one-way and there is parking on the right side of the road at all the major attractions. If on Acadia for more than one day, drive the loop more than once.
