This was a multi-level treat. The scenery and trails were 1st rate. The narration added interest to the sights without being obtrusive. The chance to ride in a horse-drawn vehicle gave insight into a way of life common to our forebears. The horses were beautiful,...More

I think a carriage ride just about anywhere makes that place all the more enjoyable. Unless, that is, Cosmo Kramer is the Coachman. But here in Acadia it's a wonderful way to enjoy parts of Acadia you might otherwise not be able to enjoy. I...More

We really enjoyed this two hour tour of some of Rockefeller's bridges on a beautiful day. The narrative about the park, the family history there and particularly the lives and habits of the horses, Pete and (lazy) Gub were informative and entertaining. The carriage was...More

We enjoyed traveling the carriage roads as they were built to be traveled - by horse and wagon. Our guide and driver was great!

We did the horse-drawn carriage ride on some of the carriage roads in Acadia National Park. I think it is best to experience these roads in this manner. Our guide was excellent and informative. It is definitely worth the time.

Unfortunately we never actually made it for our carriage ride......the GPS sends you to the opposite end of where you need to be. When I called to say I think we were lost the girl on the phone told me that I was indeed lost,...More
