We did this hike with our 10 year old. We started around 8 am. We wish we got there earlier. There isn’t much shade on this hike. A good portion of it is up hill. So bring lots of water on this hike. It about...More

We made the trip today and It was 96 degrees with a little clouds. The hike was hard due to sun blaring down and the attitude gain was sudden and upwards on the way. We walked all the way to the arch and took pics....More

Such a great hike, we set off at 6am to avoid the heat, I'm probably 6st overweight but I walk regularly. I found this hike challenging but doable and so worth the trip. If you come prepared and set off early you'll be fine! Wear...More

Arches National Park was a fourth stop on our National Parks road trip. As we enter the park we ride up Scenic Road, along which were many overlooks with well visible names. We stoped on many of them to admire a view and take some...More

Way too hot for the difficult 3-mile hike so I opted for the upper viewpoint moderate hike that is about 1-mile round trip with an elevation gain of about 200 feet. The uphill trail is well-marked and includes several series of uneven steps. When you...More

Because of the 90+ degree heat and our daughter's poor health, we did not make the 3-mile hike to the most famous Arch in the World! We did, however, see it from afar...the viewpoint. But I bet it was NOTHING like seeing it up close....More

When you make it to the main arch, look left & be sure to climb to the top to look over the edge on the east side 😉. Also right before you make it to delicate the keyhold on your right is a nice shot.

We set off from the trail car park at about 6am to beat the June heat and were surprised at how many cars were already in the car park - this is obviously a really popular trail! However, because it was so early we saw...More

This is an easy hike if you are in shape. Make sure you start early in the morning to avoid the crowds (at 7am) and make sure you have water. Well worth the time spent on the short hike.

We did this hike on July 5th. Started at 8 AM and glad we went early as the heat was the hardest part of the hike. I would not do this hike in the middle of the day during the summer. There are very few...More

The parking lot fills pretty early. I would try to arrive no later than 2-2.5 hrs before sunset to ensure you get a spot. You will not be alone up near the arch. It's amazing how crowded it gets up there.

I would say if you're able to carry your toddler for much of the hike, it would be possible. The hike is 3 mi. RT, 480 ft. elev. gain. The hardest stretch is climbing straight up slick rock on the side of a hill for about... More

YES!!! We took our boys in April when they were 3 and 5. It was hot... but with some bribing, they both made it no problem.
