There are some nice information boards on the short 0.4 mile trail to the arch that describe how in the 1940's there was a big collapse which basically doubled the size of the arch and reminds visitors that this is an ever changing landscape. We...More

Skyline Arch in Arches National Park is remarkable in that it is very close to the roadway. It is easily photographed from a pull-out on the roadside. However, the hike to this arch is relatively steep compared to others. We opted to admire this one...More

If you're driving by and have time stop and see it. It's accessible from the road and a short walk gives you the opportunity to snap a few pics. There was an info board that explained how the arch was formed.

It’s an arch, and its way up there! It’s a short walk here, but its not the best arch. We took a couple of pictures, and went about our way.

This arch is near the campground. It is reached by a short trail from the campground amphitheater or from a pull out along the road. (I first found this view as a jigsaw puzzle - it was fascinating to see it in person for the...More

The trail here is moderate, about half a mile round trip from Devils Garden Road. The arch is high up, hence the name. It was worth seeing, but I wouldn’t rank it as the most impressive ever given its inaccessibility.

Skyline isn't one of the biggest or most well known of the formations in Arches, but it is a) on the way to and from Devil's Garden and b) a nice, easy, quick walk that almost anyone can do. The arch is neat and the...More

Skyline Arch is 0.4 mi/0.6 km roundtrip from the Devils Garden Road. The trail is rated easy with a mostly sand terrain and should take 10-20 min. There are small pullouts (10 cars) on either side of the road. We visited the arch around 2pm...More

Skyline Arch really was named properly, as it does look like it takes up a huge part of the sky from where the most popular photo shots are taken. It's only about a 2-3 min. walk from the parking lot to get the best views...More
