We stopped here briefly to see the view and to claim the virtual geocache. It just requires a selfie- no tricky geology questions to answer.

One of the easier hikes in the park, it winds gently thru some nice red rock scenery. You don't have to do the whole 1 mi. route 1-way to enjoy. Just park at either end of the trailhead and walk 15 minutes or so to...More

The Park Avenue area is at the very beginning of the park. There is parking at the trailhead, and also an overlook that provides a glimpse of the spectacular rock formations in this area. Some reviewers say that you don't have to hike the short...More

From the park entrance the scenery is spectacular as you climb the steep hill and marvel at the sheer rock faces that reach all the way to the sky. Parking for about 30 vehicles at the Viewpoint and Trailhead and it really depends on how...More

We ran out of time to do hiking in this area but was able to stop at this overlook near sunset. It is stunning. Make time to stop.

As you enter Arches National Park, you don't have to drive very far to see this awesome site. I did not have the opportunity to walk the trail as I visited this toward the approaching sunset. It was amazing to see how the vertical walls...More

This is a lovely little trail. All the better if you can persuade someone to drive the car to the bottom to save you the walk back up. You are surrounded by weird and wonderful rock formations but the star of the show has to...More

This was our first hike in the park and it really set the atmosphere for the rest of the park. There are no arches but the different rock formations were amazing. We started from the top observation area and walked down the wash about 3/4...More

The first feature of Arches National Park after entering the park and passing the visitor center—not counting Moab Fault, which actually runs outside the park's boundaries—is Park Avenue. An on-site viewpoint offers breathtaking views of a hiking trail that follows the bottom of a canyon...More
