Stop and take in the 20 minute video and life-size photos and displays. This is a great place for kids.

This visitor center is in the middle of the loop and a great place to stop. A lot of information about the Badlands available here and a nice gift shop. Nice clean restrooms. Worth a stop.

Very nice visitors center, lots of interesting information. We watched the movie. It was enjoyable and informative. The bookstore had many interesting titles. The only problem was the cashier who was much more interested in playing on her phone than helping.

Busy place, very crowded. Good source of books on the history of the area. Good movie for more information. High prices on everything (higher than at My Rushmore.) This center could/should be expanded so that shopping in it is a little more pleasant.

Not sure but I think about 1957 and it was reopened after a remodel with 95 new exhibits in 2006.
