Yovimpa Point is at the end of Route 63 and shares a parking lot with Rainbow Point. This view point is much less crowded than other view points in Bryce Canyon National Park. You are served up a good panoramic view of the Grand Staircase...More

Bryce Canyon is so difficult to photograph at sunset due to the shadows cast by the mountains, but everyone flocks to sunset point and the main parts of the park around that time to watch the sunset anyway. While it is still beautiful anywhere you...More

Yovimpa Point (elevation 9100') is an interesting viewpoint at the southern terminus of the scenic drive in Bryce Canyon National Park that overlooks a colorful escarpment and a vast forest below. The high elevation offers panoramic views all the way to the cliffs of Grand...More

It was quite cold when we were here. This is the highest point along the scenic drive, and it's really cold. Even with four layers, we were chilled. Even so, it's a beautiful viewpoint, and we were glad we did it.

We took the 18 mile drive to Rainbow Point and Yovimpa Point was nearby so we stopped an got some more great pictures. This made the trip even more worthwhile.

Skip this if you don't have much time as it is at the end of the 30km road. Not a loop road so another 30kms back. Views are OK but not as stunning as the views from inspiration or bryce points.

This viewpoint is at the end of Bryce Canyon, about 18 miles from the Entrance. At over 9,000 ft, it is chilly and on the day we visited, also windy. The view is of the canyons and a vast pine forest. We did not linger...More

You can reach the Yovimpa point by driving to the far end of Bryce Canyon NP. I think it is about 18 miles from the Visitor Centre. It is interesting to see the contrast from this point with canyons on one side and a huge...More

After seeing the amphitheater, you have to drive to the end of the park to see how the topography changes with the elevation. On one side it is full of hoodoos and on the other there are pine trees.
