We drove to the end of the road and hiked to Grand Point Overlook. You can walk from the parking area just to the lookout or you can walk down the stairs for a broader view. From the stairs, there is a beautiful, flat rock...More

Standing here you can see for a hundred miles, air quality permitting. The large parking lot will enable you to walk about 100 yds to the rim of the local world.

This was another hike we completed at Canyonlands NP. This hike starts at the southernmost point of Grand View Point Road. Get there early for a parking spot! The views on this trail are jaw dropping – as well as the sheer magnitude of the...More

Don't miss out on Grand View Point when visiting Canyonlands. The observation point area is crowded, but the views are spectacular. We also did the trail, and there were a lot less people on the trail, especially if you do the entire hike. The trail...More

Pictures just do not do this place justice. You have to be there to appreciate the vastness and beauty as you stand on the cliff edge and view the valley below. Less crowed than Moab and Arches parks.

This was our favorite trail in Canyonlands. It's not too strenuous, but also not that easy, and you get to see some amazing views and take some amazing pictures. Lots of info placards along the way so you can learn about the canyons. We came...More

Beautiful hike (about a mile). Has a scenic overlook with railing, however along the hike- lots of edges! The path doesn’t get you close, unless you want closer! Lots of great picture opportunities!
