This was our first stop in the Everglades and so glad we got to experience it. The visitor center is simple but staff is very helpful. We took the 2 hour tram ride and would definitely do it again. Our driver and guide were very knowledgeable and loved their personalities. Saw many different birds and lots of alligators. Have your... More

This was a great place to see alligators and wading birds. Even the short road from the highway to the entrance gate provided views of these creatures. We hiked the short (1/2 to 1 mile) Bobcat Boardwalk Trail for more views of birds of all types, as well as of alligators, some lounging in the sun along the walkway. Then... More

Rented bikes to cycle the shark valley. Too bad the bike broke down after 2 miles...! Got another bike and tried again, really nice to cycle right by the alligators and the view from the observation tower is awesome.

Visited the park in December - took the Trolley ride out to the observation tower. Very interesting - we saw lots of birds and lots of alligators. Even saw a crocodile - only one in the park - not sure how it got there. Good narrative during the ride. Alligators seemed to be everywhere and we were happy to be... More

Just kidding! This was literally the best part of my trip. We saw at least 100+ alligators and 1 American crocodile. Do yourself a favor and book the open air $25 tram. It was the best 2 hours spent. Castle was the name of our guide and he did a great job pointing out wildlife and navigating the entire time.... More

They are not joking; This place is teeming with birds and gators! There is a 15 mile loop path that you can walk, bike, or ride a tram down. One side runs along a canal that hosts scads of animals. I only ventured 2 miles in and saw at least 20 gators (a couple of which were ON the road)... More

We took a mid-afternoon tram tour. It turned out to be stellar - lots of wonderful photo shots and we saw some unusual birds and other wildlife. Many, many sitings of mama alligators with babies on back, but also rare birds and excellent narration by the ranger and siting by the tram driver. The trams are hot and vibrate at... More

We went on the 4pm tour. The PA system was way too loud in the back carriage. The guide was trying to be funny (think corny jokes & same 'just kidding' comment too many times to count). Overall we found the experience to be more irritating than informative in any way. You see heaps of wildlife alongside the roads (or... More

We went on the 9 AM tram tour and saw lots of wildlife. It's supposedly the best tram tour of the day because there are few people out at that time and no other trams have passed by. Our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable and entertaining. She even got us excited about birds - not usually so thrilling to... More

Went bike riding with a group of friends. Arrived at Observation Tower to watch sunset then rode back by moonlight! Park outside gate or you won't be able to drive out. Take water and bug spray. We saw lots of alligators and birds. Was a terrific ride!!!!
