Start here for the Anhinga Trail, but before you leave your car, be sure to secure a tarp over your car to keep the vultures from munching on the rubber window gaskets. There is a bin full of tarps for you, just do it! The trail is quite nice passing lots of gators and shore birds, and of course lurking... More

We enjoyed this Visitor center very much. It's a great way to learn about what you want to explore. The Rangers are very helpful. Take the time to explore and read about all that's going on in the Everglades before you venture out gives you much more insight into the surroundings and the need to protect and preserve.

This visitor center is where the Anhinga and the Gumbo Limbo trails are located. If you don't go anywhere else in the Park, make sure that you visit this Visitor Center and the trails especially the Anhinga. The visitor center is clean and has restrooms and a gift shop where you can buy mosquito repellent if you forgot to bring... More

Really, there wasn't much here, just bathrooms and a tiny gift shop. And that's all you really need.

We chosen Royal Palm visitor center over Shark Valley and that was good move. Royal Palm has a small visitor center with great trails and lot of animals to see. Actually Royal Palm was faster accessed by car from Miami than Shark Valley. We arrived early and vultures were knocking some cars. We got last tarp and covered out car... More

My family loved this short walking tour of the everglades. There is a ton of wildlife and both kids were able to get tons of close pics of gators and other assorted animals. I highly recommend.

This Visitors Center is the start of two trails, the Anhinga and the Gumbo Limbo. The Anhinga Trail is the main attraction; a short, visitor-friendly trail that features numerous possibilities to observe wildlife (especially alligators and birds) in a natural setting. The Gumbo Limbo trail is a short walk through a wooded area. Two warnings worth noting... 1) The Visitors... More

This Center is a must stop because it includes the Anahinga & Gumbo Limbo Trails. Both easy walking trails with wildlife & interesting tress.
