The views here are the best in the country. The water is so clear that the mountains reflect in the lakes. You can see, I think seven different glaciers from one place. This is such a beautiful place. You must see it. You will love...More

This is a BEAUTIFUL lake. We had Lunch at Eddie's. Very good good. This is a good place where hikers go, but I'm old and can't hike long distances. This really is a beautiful spot to see!

This lake is beautiful visually but the lack of wildlife was disappointing. There are alot of birds but the is about all you will see unless you are very lucky. This whole park is more for hikers that enjoy scenic walks...with 2 kids there was...More

We spent an hour sitting on the deck of the McDonald Lodge while waiting for our boat trip, which takes off from the dock in front of the Lodge. I scored a rocking chair. A lovely way to spend part of an afternoon looking at...More

The rocks in the lake are as advertised. Our trip was on cloudy days and the colors were probably duller than normal. Still worth the effort. Great place.

We stayed here and the views are stunning. We did take a boat ride which was okay. The captain was nice and gave a brief history of the lake. The boat was comfortable and about 80 years old. It was nice to be on the...More

It's pretty hard to miss the largest lake in the Glacier national park. Going to the sun road drives past it and there are some spectacular sights in store. Make sure to stop by at the lookouts, especially the ones that go down to the...More

We come here at least once a year as a reminder of how our lakes and waterways used to look. They have Lake tour boats that leave regularly to travel the lake and hear the stories. I did see a motor boat, but you can...More

From Apgar to the Lodge, it is impossible to find a view that doesn't take your breath away. The rocks are as colorful as they say, and the mountains reflect off the surface of the water like a painting.

Hello. Thanks for your pictures! I am going to Glacier very soon. What part of the lake did you take the photos of the pretty rocks? Is there a visitor center nearby? Closest place to park? We'll have our dog and are not really "allowed" to take her off the paved areas. Also, did you do the Going to the Sun Road drive? I know parts are still closed for snow now. Are there good turn around spots? thanks!

That's at lake McDonald. There are parking spaces around. In my case, we just park to the side of the road , went to the lake and did some pictorials with my cousins
