This was the highlight of our trip to Glacier National Park, and that's saying a lot. We went in mid-July, so the weather was perfect. The very beginning of the hike was slightly challenging, but the rest was very enjoyable, with plenty of incredible views along the way. The hike isn't short (4.5ish miles each way), but the trail is... More

There were no icebergs in the lake in late September, but the hike was gorgeous with the fall colors and expansive vistas. There are some shady areas and some exposed areas. Well worth half a day to hike this one.

This is a moderate hike with beautiful views and foliage. Iceberg Lake is a lovely endpoint for lunch along the shore, but be careful as the squirrels may approach your open lunch bag ! One of the nicest hikes in Glacier and worth the effort !

You will see it all on this hike--flora, fauna...and probably a Grizzly. Take your spray. But, at the end of the hike you will see a sight unmatched in the US. Chunks of glacial ice afloat in a sapphire lake. Absolutely spectacular. A lifetime memory that will call you back.

The hike was beautiful in and of itself but then to end up at suck a beautiful place is worth the work to get there. The winds can be pretty rough at the top but we had a snack and one of us even had a quick dip in the frigid waters!!!

I went on a ranger guided hike to Iceberg Lake and it was great! The trail had everything to offer from spectacular views to nature stops to great company. And of course the destination will not disappoint! You could stay there forever until you realize you'll have to hike 5 miles to go back to base.

Ack! I thought we'd never get there but amazingly, we did. What an incredible place to see. After years of the trail being closed for various reasons, i.e., a mountain lion and bear were fighting over a mountain goat carcass one year so the Rangers had to close it off one year], we finally got to do this hike. Yes!... More

What a freat day hike. Long though. Over 11 miles round trip but not technical and the elevation change is nice and gradual. Bring bear spray as this is definitely bear country! The lake is a huge payoff as you can't see it until the very end of the hike. Stunning for sure.

The startlingly blue waters and icebergs are well worth the hike. Though the hike itself is just as memorable (if not more so).

Yes it can be crowded, but it was worth it. We packed a lunch and ate by the lake. What a beautiful location!!
