Acrophobes may want to avoid this overlook, on the remote part of the North Rim, which provides awesome Canyon views from sheer cliffs nearly 3,000 feet high above the Colorado River.

I hire a guide from Dreamland Safari Tour, as the road to go there is 61 miles of unpaved rough road and the last miles mostly on rock. So it is very hard to drive over there. Very remote area. But the overlook very stunning....More

Preparation and abundant ground clearance vehicle required. The last 3 miles are no joke, either you have the right vehicle or you are hiking in and out. Start early with a full tank of gas from St George as over 140 miles r/t of gravel...More

Toroweap has been on my must see list. I booked a tour with Dreamland Safari Tours as my compact rental car wouldn't make the drive. The view is amazing. So glad I was able to experience this!

Everyone's raving about Toroweap is true. There are many precautions you should take: 1. 4WD vehicle with high clearance. 2. E rating 10-ply rating tires, most rental places won't have these, and the terrain is very rough. 3. Avoid rain or snow at any cost....More

This was a 2 yr plan in the making - went out on Halloween morning in a jeep rental from Hurricane- took the Fredonia route in and took the Colorado City way out, which was much better. All the reviews I've seen say this is...More

I was staying an Kanab and headed to Las Vegas so I detoured to Toroweap. I took BLM 129 on the way in and BLM 5 on the way out. 5 was generally smoother (according to my step counter) but neither was any issue in...More

Closest town is Fredonia, AZ. Not sure about hiring a 4x4 from this location though - it's a very small town. Next town past that is Kanab, UT. Might have better luck there. Your other option is to rent a Razor and drive... More
