This 8-mile stretch of road boasts a number of stunning views of the Canyon. Do it by car, foot or during peak season, May to September, by bus: shuttles run by the Park Service that stop at key points and allow you to hop on and off at your leisure.

The Mary Coulter designed building is unique and worth the shuttle ride to get there. However, most of the small building is stuffed with "stuff". That means stuff to buy. The snack bar takes up at least a third and doesn't seem to be particularly...More

Beautiful view of the sunrise at winter, as the first rays of sunlight hit the canyons, at the Hopi Point, one of the best viewing spots.

Given that the Hermit's Rest shuttle makes about 8 stops along the route, this road is the nicest to walk along. Most of the trail runs along the road and may not have a lot of people so you actually get to hear the silence...More

The road is closed to cars. Just park vehicles and busses. You will have tons of room.
