Long side road drive but Point Imperial is a remarkable view

Long winding road but climbing up to the view a Point Imperial is great. Arrive early or the parking lot will probably be full.

Well worth the time. HOWEVER, we drove all the way out the park looking for the road, don't think it's marked from lodge. We did return, drove to the end, took the turnouts on the return. Amazing views

What a wonderful culmination of our Cape Royal drive. You just can't become jaded to the outstanding far vistas at North Rim, and the highest point in the entire canyon is no exception. You just drive up, park, get out and let your breath be taken away.

Great views, not to be missed. Visiting in late September provides nice cool weather and almost nobody else there. We had visited the South rim many times, this was our first drive around to the North rim, and found the viewpoints much more varied and beautiful.

At the end of the road is the parking area for some fantastic views south and east into the canyon and beyond. Usually less crowed than Bright Angel Point. You can picnic here and they do have four toilets. From this parking area you can access the Ken Patrick Rim Trail. Try it if you're into great views with no... More

I visited the North Rim on Labor Day, this was my first stop. It was about 11 am and not crowded. The view is incredible and it was quiet. There were a few people having a picnic, which is a perfect spot. I wished I had planned to do that. For me it was well worth the drive up.

the point sits at the highest elevation of 8803 feet in Grand Canyon. Temperatures are pretty low and hiking is strenuous at this level. Due to rain and strong winds it was very cold when we reached. The views are great from the overlook and provide a clear view of the rim. You really feel connected with nature and want... More

This was our first stop. It couldn't have been any more perfect. We saw the sunrise here and we were the only people there. It was unbelievable!

Point Imperial gives you unobstructed views in several directions of the Grand Canyon. And the nearby Angels Window is a very cool rock formation through which you can see the Colorado River

This was our first view of the canyon, for my daughter it was her first view ever. The view was in all directions for ages.
