Stunning viewpoint. North rim much better and less commercialised than south. Great hiking trails and facilities

All our friends told us to hike Bright Angel and South Kaibab. The full trails are very long (probably will take a full day each to hike them). So my wife and I just hiked the first couple miles of each trail. Bright Angel was decent, but South Kaibab has far superior views.

If you have a daring teen- they do not realize how easy they could fall...without a net-- other than me being a nervous nelly---it was an incredible view...almost like a trail out into the middle of the canyon -up HIGH!

We only hiked around a quarter of a mile down but it was a great hike. It can get pretty hot during the summer so you may want to hike it in the early am.

This trail was pretty scary to me at first. The deep drops on one side, and sometimes both sides, of the trail were unnerving. I'm glad I went out to the tip but other people made me nervous! I was surprised at the people that let their kids run back and forth on the trail given the deadly drops. There... More

On the way to the Point one can hear Roaring Springs, the water source for both the North Rim facilities and Ghost Ranch at the river. The view on the left includes Bright Angel Canyon in whiuch the North Kaibab trail goes from the rim to the river. Both Bright Angel and Kaibab trail on the South Rim are quite... More

Our 2nd stop after Mather Point in the South Rim. Which one is better? The views are as astounding as the other. Bright Angel Point is right outside its lodge with restaurants and souvenir shops (with all 3 cashiers here as “kababayan") so you could do refreshments here while appreciating the beauty and glory of the Canyon.

This spot on the south rim is one of the very easiest to reach. It was a 6 or 7 minute walk from our lodgings at Maswik Lodge in Grand Canyon Village and is a very short walk away from restaurants on the south rim. The views are spectacular. If you go to view sunrise or sunset, I recommend walking... More

Some very nice lookout areas to see and take pictures. Enjoyed this area quite a bit. It is difficult to get to the North Rim, but I feel it was worth the trip.

We hiked this trail at the Grand Canyon and it was an amazing experience. Perfect weather in September, but hot when the sun was on you. Beautiful views! What else can be said about this amazing place? Just be sure to have good hiking shoes and layers and plenty of water to start out; there is a place to refill,... More
