This is one of those places you dream of visiting. It should not be missed. Make sure to stop at multiple overlooks and don't be afraid to walk away from the crowds to get a better view and photo.

What a wonderful way to see the canyon. Walking along the rim changes every step. So enjoyed walking it with the kids.

Walked and shuttle bused to her hermit's rest. Some unpaved and edge trails on the hike. Stunning views and lots of overlooks! Places to stop for restrooms and snacks. Check out the hotels near the rim!

My fear of heights keeps me off Bright Angel. This trail, nearly 13 miles long, is great for nearly everyone. It's wide, has great views, and at night when it's to dark to see the canyon has incredible views of the Milky Way

You can walk a little closer to the Grand Canyon at this scenic view - and watch others getting a little too close but it makes such great pictures to have just the Grand Canyon in the background.

Start from Visitors Center and walk past Mathers point and Yavapai Geology Museum to Bright Angel. It is about 3-3.5miles. There are shuttle stops every 0.5-0.7 miles so you can bailout if tired.

the trail was well done, with educational markers all along the route. some had spotting scopes to point out the features on the markers. just long enough to walk in the heat.

What a wonderful experience open to everyone. There are many places where you can park close and it is a short walk to the rim. Every corner, every bend offers a different view and even those with mobility problems can experience this beautiful park.

You might try taking the red shuttle along Hermit’s Road. It’s a long ride with lots of stops. You can look at the map as you ride and see how far it is to the next stop. Then you and the kids can get out at any stop that... More
