To the direction of the Desert View Watchtower you can get only by private car(Grandview point - to Desert View). Public bus Orange Line operates only to the Yaki Point. Get some warm clothes, water and snack and enjoy the sunset. It's 20 miles from...More

What a view, great views to the Canyon. Located at the Desert View Dirive. Not so crowded than Mather Point.

Went here because closest to north rim, so it is a bird migration point. Didn't see a bird but best view of the day, desert tower second and Mather Point was third.

This particular point allows for great PANO pics. There are railings here to good if you have younger children too.

You have to stop at all points on the south rim to get the full effect of the GC and Lipan Point is just one of many must see stops.
