Cape Royal Trail provides simply the best views of the amazing Grand Canyon from the North Rim side. This is a must-do activity if you happen to visit the Grand Canyon North Rim. The trail parking lot requires a drive of around 45 minutes to...More

It's the trail at the end of the Cape Royal Drive and an easy walk. I love that the Parks Service makes so much of our country's natural beauty accessible to nearly everyone in some form or another. Go all the way to the end...More

Put this one at the top of your must see lists. Spectacular views, one of the few places you can see the Colorado River, with some of the rapids. Bring your binoculars ! Do NOT miss the Angels Window on the return walk.

This a winding road off Highway 67 which takes you to a marvelous viewpoint. Take water and camera. Not crowded since many opt not to make the drive.

Although the elevation is over 8000 feet this easy hike brings one to another fantastic view of the expansive Grand Canyon. Cape Royal is one of the few places where the Colorado River is visible from the top of the canyon rim. Beautiful views!
