I didn't have time to hike the entire trail, and the views of the canyon are at the end. Despite that, I enjoyed the views of the forest along the way. Just remember that you're at 8000' elevation, and if you're not used to the...More

This is a fairly easy hike that rewards you with amzing views of the canyon in more solitude thatn the shorter, paved and crowded trails. It is 2.1 miles along a well worn dirt path without much elevation gain. Most of the hike is through...More

The first 1/2 mile or so of the hike is a little tough as it is uphill all the way. After that, it gets fairly easy. It is definitely a beautiful hike through the woods with a couple of tangent trails to awesome overlooks. The...More

If you have a day at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, a must visit is a drive on the Cape Royal Scenic Drive-- plenty of nice viewpoints to stop and stroll over for photos. It is great to stop at several of them...More

This trail is worth the view at the end. And the solitude you get at the edge of the canyon. We sat and just gazed out without all the crowds.

We recently hiked the Cape Final Trail on a recent trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in September. It's an easy 4.2 mile hike through the woods and you are rewarded at the end with stunning views of the North Rim. We...More

Great hike - wonderful forest walk thru trees and wild flowers crowned by endless views of Grand Canyon, Colorado River, Angeles Window - just stunning. My wife and I truly enjoyed this mellow hike.

During our visit to the Grand Canyon National Park North Rim we tackled many of their hiking trails, and we found the Cape Final Trail (a moderately strenuous four-mile up-and-back round trip) to be the best combination of trail beauty and reward for your exertion...More

We did this hike before heading out to Cape Royal and we were so glad that we did. It is easy, pleasant and rewarding. The 2 hours goes by quickly and the views from Cape Final are spectacular.

This hike is different from most on the north rim. It's longer than most of the other non-South-Kaibab options, and is almost exclusively in the forest. At such a high elevation, I had some problems with the short climbs thanks to being 16 weeks pregnant,...More

It was easy to follow. The start had a little incline and was somewhat rocky. but that was only for a short portion, It was all in the woods and shaded. I wouldn't rate it easy or difficult-it was moderately difficult.
