Be sure to get off the bus and take the short hike out to the point. There is an expansive view of the canyon and a great place to take pictures.

We made it to Powell Point just in time for sunset on our first night at the Canyon, and it ended up being our favorite spot. Lots of space to walk around.

Catch the earliest shuttle to get there by sunrise - absolutely fabulous! If walking back take plenty of water and remember there are no facilities until you get back to the Bright Angel Trailhead.
