This is on the way to the Desert View Watchtower. One of the best views on the South Rim. We saw this on our way back from the Watchtower and unfortunately could only stay for around 10-15 minutes. I recommend that you spend more time...More

I pretty much saw the Canyon from everywhere along the South Rim, and stayed in the Village area. Without question, Navajo point was my favorite view. If you're a little pressed for time or don't want to do both, skip the Watchtower stop and go...More

As with every stop along the south rim drive the views were spectacular. You must stop at each place you can and take pictures.

The view was the same as the Desert View but much calmer. It was so much nicer to appreciate the view without the jostling to get to the front.

We visited early in the morning (about 1.5 hours after sunrise), and it wasn't crowded at all. You get a good view of the canyon and the Desert View Watchtower. This point is approximately 25 minutes from the South Rim Visitor's Center, depending on traffic....More

The views are AMAZING and the paintings and history of the NAVAJO in one stop make this a "must-see" on your way to the Canyons!

We stopped at Navajo Point for a boxed lunch and to take some photos. It was a beautiful area to get some photos of the Grand Canyon and take a break.

Navajo point offer one of the best spots to see the sun setting on the Grand Canyon. You can also see the Desert View Watchtower wich is nearby and some other views from the opposite side of the tower.

The Watch Tower is a ways off to the right, but you can get a decent zoomed in picture from Navajo Point.

This is a an excellent place to get a quick glimpse of the desert view watchtower from a different angle. There are also some really nice views of the canyon.
