Cades Cove is a gorgeous natural setting. The visitor center and restrooms were nice. The historic buildings consisted of a main house, a mill, an outbuilding used for blacksmithing, and other buildings without any interpretation. Inside the main house there was a sign announcing the...More

There are restrooms here which is reason enough to stop on your way around the loop. The parking lot can get really crowded especially after a bear jam, although there were plenty of spaces this time. The mill and historic buildings are not accessible. Ask...More

This is a nice oasis stop while driving the Cades Cove Loop. Snacks, drinks, trinkets, restrooms. Plenty of parking.

We have visited Cades Cove multiple times. It is usually very busy and slow moving...that gives you more reason to check out the history of the place. There are a number of original buildings that are well worth your time.

Marie, there are no waterfalls in Cades Cove. It is the watershed area for Abrams Creek and it is a medium level difficulty hike to get back to Abrams Falls. It is the equivalent of 14 flights of stairs, each way. You have... More
