If you are a novice hiker take the Tobin Harbor trail. The rock Harbor trail is rocky and lots of tree roots.

Varied terrain and relatively flat with some climbing. Beautiful views of Lake Superior and islands and harbors. Good exercise but not too strenuous.

I am not a speed hiker, I prefer to take in the beauty of the wildflowers, fungi, animal tracks and birds along the way. Perfect for that.

The hike is about 4 miles, but mostly easy. Closer to the point, the rocks are a little more challenging, but the views are worth it.
