I did a review of this under the title Brooks Falls. It's an absolutely amazing place to see bears fishing for salmon and also see the salmon trying to leap up the falls. You should definitely visit this when you are in Alaska.

This review is for both the river and falls (I'm not sure why they are separate). Totally awesome, absolutely unique opportunity to see the bears up close and IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT. I stress that because yes, there are "inconveniences" where you have to wait...More

First of all I need to point out that the badly managed title is not for the tour company but the rangers of brooks lodge. We did the day tour from Anchorage. It started with about an hour’s flight to King Salmon. From there we...More

You’ve probably been there and back, but if you were in a “Bear Jam” as you mentioned, and we weren’t, you would most definitely want to stand and see all you can with reference to why you went there.TO SEE THE BEARS.
