The signs along the trail are helpful, but the speaker only repeats exactly what is written on the sign! Nice place to get out and stretch your legs and learn a little, though.

Nice little walk in the park. Interpretive signs along the trail told us plenty about the last eruption. Easy tread and level trail. Picnic tables and bathrooms located at site.

In a short time, you'll understand what happened when the mountain blew. Some of these concepts were difficult for me to conceptualize, but the interpretive trail made the, very real and understandable. It'll take you 20 minutes to go through the t rail.

This is a short, flat and mostly shaded trail with interpretive signs that explain the rocks and the volcanic explosions that brought them to their destination. It's worth the stop.
