It is paved, about a mile long , and easy if you are rushed for time. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the Washington Pass area.

This hike was recommended to us by a park ranger as one that is easy to do in a relatively short time. It's just 2 miles round trip, winding through forests with a few interesting interpretive signs, before emerging at the edge of Rainy Lake....More

This was our favorite hike in the Cascade National Park...it was easy and it was beautiful...with few people in attendance, it allowed for us to enjoy the scenery together for a lengthy period of time...you won't want to miss this one!
