We made a very abbreviated trip around the peninsula & hope to be back again to spend more time exploring & enjoying. Breathtaking scenery from mountain tops to ocean waves. Absolutely beautiful area! Made stops in Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent Lodge, Ruby Beach, Hoh Rain Forest & Big Cedar. Ruby Beach is a must see!!

We spent a 7 days, 8 nights doing the Olympic Loop. Granted we did a lot of hiking to really explore the park. This is our 25th National Park we visited and it is a beauty. As others mentioned it is very diverse. Highly recommend taking your time. Even if you don't hike there are many easy walks to enjoy... More

We took three days to actually do the drive, as there is so much to see and do along the way. There are beaches, light houses, trails into the rain forest, little rest stops with restaurants along the way... I loved it!

A must see !!! The drive is quite lengthy buy well worth the time. Plan at minimum 3 days. The route takes you from seashore to mountains.... From sandy beaches to rainforests...from majestic stands of Douglas Fir trees draped in moss to driftwood on the shore. God had his hand in making this Garden of Eden!!!

Highway 101 circles around Olympic National Park. The north route takes you along the Strait of Juan de Fuca before it heads inland at Lake Crescent. The western route is part inland (through the movie town of Forks) then along the Pacific Ocean before it again heads inland toward Lake Quinault. The eastern route is along Hood Canal through sleepy... More

We didn't do the whole loop. We did the drive to Hurricane Ridge and Crescent Lake. It was truly beautiful! I would recommend going early in the day, as we did. It is so calm and you get a chance to take in the beauty without a lot of other people around.

I added an extra day to a trip to Seattle for a wedding so I could drive the Olympic Peninsula Loop. Best decision I've ever made. While I did the whole thing in a day I would not recommend that. If I did this again (which I'd like to) I would split it into 2-3 days so I could do... More

I drove approximately 218 miles of this 330 mile loop highway. As recommended as well as common sense will dictate, drive this loop in a counterclockwise direction. I started from the junction of WA State Route 104 and U.S. Route 101 just south of Discovery Bay on the Olympic Peninsula. On the way to Port Angeles, one could take detours... More

We spent three days making the loop which was the right amount of time to take it leisurely and do a couple of short hikes at each locale. It is stunningly beautiful and the diversity is unlike anyplace else: we did rainforest in the morning and rugged beach in the afternoon!
