We took this short hike from Glacier Basin campground through the woods and then walked on the boardwalk around the lake to the picnic areas. There are some really nice shady spots to eat and the kids had a blast playing in the river for...More

This lake is very cool because it isn't as busy as Bear Lake and ones like it and it's very pretty and scenic! It's got a nice little creek/river running from the lake (beware it's very cold- I know this from personal experience). The 1/2...More

It doesn't look like the same trail we walked a few years ago. There has been a lot of damage from pine beetles. They have cut down a lot of trees and are hauling them away. It is still a nice easy trail and worth...More

This is one of the easiest walks in the park. A flat, prepared trail takes you all the way around the lake, We were lucky to see 2 moose in the lake when we were there. Sunset can be beautiful if there is 'color'. Good...More

This is a beautiful and easy hike around the lake. We saw several elk on our last visit and this time we saw a moose with her babies! They have picnic tables making it a great lunch spot.

There have been times we visited the national park just to spend some time here. Amazing view with little effort. Close to the parking lot. Stroller accessible easy hike around the lake, maybe about 0.6 miles. Never do I get tired of this place. Something...More
