The federal government may mess up a lot of programs, but the workers were very friendly and helpful. I would take the road to Alpine Visitors Center from this entrance to the park. The road has more overlooks and places to have picnics.

If your in need to do some souvenir shopping this might be the very best place to do it. We found the merchandise to be very extensive and plentiful. A very modern facility and very well staffed.

We really like this visitors center and the staff there are very helpful and friendly. Our kids love the Jr. Ranger program and all of the activities that are provided there.

Stop by here for all of the park information. They also show an informative and historical video that lasts about twenty minutes.

Liked this place very much which is just before the entrance to Rocky Mountains National park. All white in snow when I visited and was at low temperature too on a sunny Saturday.
