The hike is not especially scenic, but it does go through some pretty open areas where you may see moose. Theirs decent views of the Never Summer Mountains most of the time. You go by an old mine site and some remains of some cabins....More

My wife and I are lowlanders, and hiked this trail as we were adjusting to the altitude. As other reviews state, if you're looking for grand vistas, RMNP has a lot of great hikes that meet your need, and this isn't one of them. This...More

This was a great hike (about 7.5 miles with some extra "getting lost" we did.) Not too strenuous for the most part, and QUIET. We saw very few other hikers, which was lovely. We happened to see two moose in a clearing, and a baby...More

I am always looking for something new, as I live in the Denver metro. Other reviewers have it right- there are much more spectacular things to do, but this is still a good hike - very well maintained trail. Great for solitude if you keep...More

This is an "out and back" hike that follows the Colorado River. There is a lot of history along the trail, but very little of it visibly remains. I understand that there are old mines and mine tailings, but they are obviously not marked for...More

Total distance was over 7 miles but terrain was not bad. We didn't find much at the Lulu City site but was a nice morning hike. Wish we would have gone the extra mile and gone to the Yellowstone Canon.

I believe the total distance for this hike (there and back) is close to 7 miles. We started earlier in the day around 10:00 a.m. and the hike took around 4 1/2 hours. Part of our group peeled off for various reasons (one person had...More

Easy trail, but don't expect to find an awesome reward at the end. Nice place for a picnic, but I am sure there are better hikes around. Good for people who come from lower altitudes.

A horse trail that is full of dumps, are the price to pay to follow a sream that becomes the Colorado River ,draws to many people and hoses .
