For climbing a mountain, it's not too difficult. It took just under 4 hours, including the 20 minutes or so at the summit. I started from the Longs Peak TH. The first 0.5 mile was hard for me-- it kept going up! After that it...More

A review by a senior for seniors. We decided to make this hike a 4 mile round-trip instead of the 6.6 miles to the Cone. We stopped at the Eugenia Mine and Moore Meadow area. This is a good hike for seniors (My wife and...More

This is an awesome hike. It's a little tough, but not extremely difficult. After a bit of climbing at the very end, the view is incredible. Definitely worth the time.

Below the final ascent, the trail is mostly pine woods broken occasionally by verdant meadows peppered with yellow flowers. Or so it was in June. This part is a pleasant walk. A ranger told us the last half mile was a challenge. Yep. Much of...More

Just skimmed a couple of other reviews and I guess I have to agree that this hike is not the most exciting. It definitely feels a little long when you're coming back down. That being said, getting to the top is well worth the effort....More

Other reviews are spot on. The hike is completely and utterly forgettable no matter where you start, and the final half mile is quite strenuous. The views of the Estes Valley, the Long's cirque, and the Continental Divide when you reach the top, though, are...More
