In all honesty, I didn't want to stop but the friend I was with did. I'm glad we stopped because it was very interesting. I learned so much about the elk we saw right by the corner of Bear Lake Rd and Moraine Park Rd. The antlers they had were interesting as was the stuffed mountain lion that they found... More

Great hands-on displays for all ages. Ask about the history of the building & appreciate the architecture of this log home converted into a visitor center!

Good displays about the area, and examples of resident artists' work. Excellent kid-centered activities (junior ranger & nature walks). A limited array of items to purchase.

I absolutely love Rocky Mtn National Park!! This visitor center is the best. Lots of things to check out and the view is great. The staff were very friendly and took interest in where we were from. (Georgia). We were able to see lots of elk on the drive through and the boys enjoyed the snow we encountered once at... More

Stopped here during our trek through the park. The nature trails and educational exhibits in the area make it worth the stop. It was also a good location to spot wildlife..we saw a herd of elk in the valley below from the parking lot

We enjoyed this visitor center so much that we came back before we left our four-day camping stay. The observation area on the second floor offered comfortable rocking chairs to simply look at the spectacular view which included seeing wildlife in the lower area. The gift shop is smaller than others but excellent in what is offered for both children... More

Loved the history of this spot and how they had the cabin set up. Also I know we are grown but they had these little displays that shows how glaciers work and the mountains work and they were pretty neat

Rocky Mountain National Park is filled with stunning vistas. Whether hiking or viewing from the car, you will be amazed at the sights and sounds found within the park. With 3.5 million visitors a year, the park is busy, and often times very crowded. Located in Moraine Park is the Moraine Park Discovery Center. It is a park facility not... More

I am using this site as there is no listing in TA for the Moraine Park region of RMNP. This is one of the best areas to see the magnificent elk in the park. Best seen after 5 PM, look for cars parked along the road that's where the elk are.Rangers are there to ensure your and the elk's safety.We... More
