This park has it all: some good hiking trails, marvelous Ranger talks, old abandoned mines and petroglyphs. We first listened to the Ranger talk on the how much the CCC did in the park, their lifestyle there and their contributions to America. Then we did the King Canyon Trail to Wasson Peak. Marvelous trail to 360 degree views but it... More

When most people hear the word, "desert," a dry, barren place may come to mind. A trip to Saguaro National Park West or East will change your mind. You will find yourself in a sea of saguaros and other types of cacti. If you are lucky enough to come in spring you will see blooms in colors ranging from white,... More

The Red Hills Visitor Center is an unforgettable experience - just acres and acres of saguaro cactus along with a lovely visitors center with plenty of shaded spots and a great gift shop! Information on the history of the area and the nature in the area, along with a wonderful film about the local desert narrated by local Native Americans.... More

A good place to start in any national park is the visitor center. Red Hills is a newer one with all the amenities you would expect. What you might not expect is how the movie ends in its theater! Cool!

We were disappointed to have to pay $15 to drive thru the Saguaro national park. It was nothing different then driving thru southern Arizona.

The visitor center is located in a pretty part of your the park surrounded by Saguaros. They have maps and recommendations on how to spend your day depending on how much time you have. There are some exhibits to look at and a gift shop. Best of all good restrooms and drinking fountains. It is really close to the scenic... More

A volunteer at the center advised about driving the loop road and easy walking trails in the park. The park is incredible. You walk on trails among the giant Saguaro cactus. They are so majestic. Plenty of birds and other amazing wildlife abound. Don't miss this jewel of the desert southwest.

A must see after visiting the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum just down the road. You won't believe the scenery and pristine landscapes.
