My husband and I both have a fear of heights. We made it over halfway but stopped when the metal hand rails ended and there were just low rocks on the side. I wish they'd put the hand rails up all the way to the...More

Unfortunately we went to Moro Rock in the early morning and the fog was so thick we were unable to see the views. The parking area does full up and becomes one way so that you need to exit the area and make a big...More

Moro Rock is an easy climb for those not afraid of heights. We had a 9 year old and a 12 year old. They climbed this with no problem. Just be sure they understand the height dangers..the trail is pretty well guarded from falls if...More

This short hike climbs up just over 400 steps to the top of Moro Rock. There is a hand rail and anyone in reasonable shape including kids can do it. It offers incredible views of the Sierra Neveda mountains and the surrounding area. It is...More

Spectacular views of many of the peaks on the eastern side of the Sierra. A stunning site below as well as across to a series of 12,000-13,000ft. mountains. Fairly easy climb up the stairs but there are a few twists and turns that make you...More

We loved the Sequoias and Redwoods, but the Moro Rock hike and last 400 steps provided it all. We hiked the less than two mile trial through the forest which provided beautiful up close views at the trees. Then we came to the last 400...More

This was the first thing we did upon entering the park. A fairly quick and easy climb up steps to a breathtaking view of the high Sierras. Bring your camera for some gorgeous shots.

We were worried that our young children wouldn't be able to make it to the top, but my husband and I were the ones trying to keep up! :) It was a bit harrowing since people are going up and down the same steps and...More

Worth the small walk up the 400 steps take it easy with the heath though have seen a lot of people start of quickly and passed them on the way up. The view over Sequoia is amazing!

Moro rock is a great quick way to tour the top of a classic Sierra Nevada granite dome. There are steps to the top and unless you are really scared of heights you can probably make it. Once you reach the very top the views...More

We spent about 45-60 minutes at Moro Rock. That includes time walking up and down and waiting for people to "clear" to get a nice family photo. It is a beautiful view! Be advised that more time is spent driving up to the... More
