After a hair raising drive in the ice and snow we arrived at this pretty location. Very peaceful , it was very cold so we had a good walk around the lake to keep us warm.

Hume lake is not only beautiful, but it has EVERYTHING. It has lodging, gas station, convenience store, restaurants and coffee shops. You can get on wifi for free too. Definitely worth a visit, even if just half a day.

Interesting lake and a nice canoeing spot. Also has a nice canteen where one can have a snack or even lunch. Also has a Gas station....we filled up Gas here on our return to Red Wood City.

We drove by and stopped to see the lake in a couple spots as we were driving through the KCNP toward Cedar Grove. It is a pretty area but not unlike many other lakes that are in the mountains. The Cedar Grove area where you...More

We went here on a ranger's recommendation as a place to rent a kayak and enjoy a milkshake. Sounds quiet and lovely, doesn't it? Imagine our surprise as we drove in and saw what seemed like two hundred kids enjoying an unstructured summer camp with...More

The storage space includes a metal lock box that is large enough for up to 3 standard size iced chests. No power, refrigerator or shower facilities. Toilets and water spigots are all that you will find.
