The lake was nice. Not much to do this time of year since there was still some snow and ice around. Probably better late spring.

Driving from Sequoia along Generals Highway we stopped at the visitor center to stretch and take a breather. The ranger and staff suggested we check out Hume Lake to see the canyon since the scenic byway was closed. Let me preface the following by saying...More

Renred a canoe and brought a picnic lunch. So peaceful. A must for all ages. There are trails around the lake as well as camp sites. There is a general store that has many extras.

Very scenic lake. Small village next to it with food and rentals for watersports. Plenty to do here and.a natural beauty!

This is a beautiful lake, well worth turning off the main road to get to. Lots of lovely spots to sit and relax, picnic or go for a swim.

This is a beautiful lake atop one of the scariest ascents to get there. Winding, tiny two lane roads swarmed by buses. After the jangled nerves subsided, walked the perimeter trail and really enjoyed it. Flat and shaded for the most part, it's very pretty....More

There are some OHV trails to the Northeast side of the lake overlooking Kings canyon but it is a several mile walk to see anything significant. Some good hikes if you don't mind driving include big baldy trail heads and... More

I will be taking a little weekend getaway with my boyfriend here in a couple of weeks. We will be staying in tents which is no biggie but I had a few questions that maybe someone could help me out with? Food? I read something about a storage space, would it be better to just bring dry food items and buy actual meals at the camp?? Or does the storage space include a refridgerator?

The storage space includes a metal lock box that is large enough for up to 3 standard size iced chests. No power, refrigerator or shower facilities. Toilets and water spigots are all that you will find.
