If you're driving along Skyline Drive, Skyland is good stop. There's a lodge with a restaurant but also a great place to have a picnic too (the view is great!). There are restrooms and several trails leave from here.

Moved here from Big Meadows to complete our stay. In preferred lodging, had very comfortable bed, TV, and A/C, and a nice, quiet view. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Just cross the border, the price deserves the relaxing atmosphere. Mountains, valleys, falls and a fantastic panoramic view ofthe Southeast and Northwest, with houndreds of miles till the horizon. We enjoyed so much the road trip, and also every trail we visited in the park.
